BARFINDER
LEGAL
Effective Date: September 8, 2026
BarFinder may collect information in the following categories:
Account Information — When a user creates an account, BarFinder may process an email address, authentication information, user profile information, and a profile photo or avatar if the user chooses to upload one.
Location Information — BarFinder may request foreground device location access to show outdoor fitness parks near you, calculate distance, center the map, and provide location-related app functionality. BarFinder does not require background or “Always” location access for normal app functionality.
User-Generated Content — You may voluntarily submit new park listings, park information, photos, videos, crowd or park-condition reports, and other information you intentionally submit through the app.
Workout and Saved Content — BarFinder may store information associated with app features, including workout history, saved parks, saved workout templates, favorite exercises, workout configuration, sets, reps, and similar training information.
Device and Technical Information — BarFinder and its infrastructure providers may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and deliver the service.
BarFinder may use information to create and maintain user accounts; authenticate users; display nearby outdoor fitness parks; provide map and location-based features; save preferences and workout information; process park, photo, video, and community submissions; moderate submitted content; improve app reliability and functionality; respond to support requests; protect the service against abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
BarFinder uses location primarily to help users discover outdoor fitness parks near them. Location permission can be controlled through iOS Settings. Disabling location may limit nearby park and distance-related features. BarFinder does not require background location tracking for its normal functionality.
Users may submit park listings, photos, videos, reports, or other content. Submitted content may be reviewed or moderated before it becomes publicly visible. Content associated with public park listings may be visible to other BarFinder users. Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information through public park submissions.
BarFinder uses third-party infrastructure providers to operate the service. Supabase may be used for user authentication, database infrastructure, file and media storage, and backend functionality. Apple services may be used for Sign in with Apple, iOS platform functionality, and app distribution. Resend may be used to help deliver transactional or authentication-related emails associated with BarFinder. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices where applicable.
BarFinder does not disclose personal information except where reasonably necessary to operate the application; work with service providers that support app functionality; process user-requested features; protect users or the service; or comply with legal requirements. BarFinder does not sell users’ personal information for monetary consideration.
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the BarFinder service, maintain user accounts, preserve app functionality, and meet security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legal obligations. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or logs after deletion where technically or legally necessary.
BarFinder provides users with the ability to request deletion of their account through the BarFinder application. Account deletion may remove or anonymize personal information associated with the account, subject to information BarFinder may need to retain for legitimate security, legal, fraud-prevention, or operational purposes. If you need assistance deleting your account, you can contact BarFinder Support.
Users may change location permissions through iOS Settings; choose whether to upload a profile photo; choose whether to submit parks, photos, videos, or reports; remove saved content within available app functionality; request account deletion; and contact BarFinder regarding privacy questions.
BarFinder is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable privacy laws. If BarFinder becomes aware that personal information was collected from a child where parental consent or another legal basis was required, reasonable steps may be taken to delete that information.
BarFinder uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect user information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
BarFinder may be accessed from different locations, and information may be processed or stored in jurisdictions different from your own depending on the infrastructure providers used by the service.
BarFinder may update this Privacy Policy as the application, services, or legal requirements change. When material updates are made, the Effective Date shown at the top of this page may be revised.
